Handsomely Suited "Masculine Birthday"

Glad you dropped by today!  Masculine cards!  I have several men in my life and am always in need of masculine cards but so hard to find stamps and paper to create them!  Well Stampin UP® has outdone themselves with the Well Suited Suite!  It is full of product to create masculine cards until your heart desires.  My husband wear suspenders on a daily basis so I just had to design one with suspenders in them!  This is so fitting for him!

For this card I used the Handsomely Suited Bundle.  Added in the Well Suited Designer Series Paper, Silver Foil, and the Stitched Shapes Dies.

Step by Step instructions:

  1. Layer 1 - Adhere to the card front.
  2. Layer 2 - You will be using Layer's 3 - 4 to build the shirt on this layer before adhering to card front.
  3. Layer 3 - Using the Suite and Ties Dies and the long stitched die (Suspender), cut out.  Then adhere to the center of Layer 2 as shown. Trim off access at the top.
  4. Layer 4 - Using the Suit & Tie Dies cut out 2 of the pockets, 2 of the suspenders, the buttons and the collar.
  5. Adhere the Suspenders to Layer 2 about 3/8" from each side. Trim off any excess at top.
  6. Adhere the Collar to Layer 2 centering the best you can.  You will be overlapping the suspenders.  Then trim the V in Layer 2 to fit the collar.
  7. Adhere the pockets to the back of Layer 2 as shown to look like sleeves. Trim if necessary.
  8. Adhere the buttons to Layer 3 as shown.
  9. Now Adhere Layer 2 to the card front centering as shown.
  10. Layer 5 - Using the Suite and Ties dies cut out 2 buckles and one of the small long stitched die.
  11. Cut the small piece in half and adhere to top of the suspenders just below the collar as shown.
  12. Adhere the buckles to the bottom of the suspenders as shown.
  13. Layer 6 - Using Night of Navy ink stamp the sentiment in the center then using the Stitched Shapes Dies cut out a circle.
  14. Layer 7 - Using the Stitched Shapes Dies cut out a circle just bigger then Layer 6.
  15. Adhere Layer 6 to the center of Layer 7.  Wrap Night of Navy Twine around the top edge of both circles and tie a knot. I used Mini Glue Dots in the back to secure in place.
  16.  Using Stampin Dimensionals adhere to the card front on the right side as shown.
  17. Layer 8 - Using Night of Navy Ink stamp sentiment onto center of layer.
  18. Layer 9 - Adhere to the bottom edge of Layer 8 then adhere them both to the inside of the card.

All done!  Just think of all the different versions of shirts you can make with this Bundle!  I good literally spend a full day just designing different shirts with this set.  I bet you can make a shirt that would fit any of the men in your family.  It would definitely make them feel like you took the time to personalize a card for them!  Have fun creating!
