Your Biggest Fan "Baby Card"

Hello and welcome to my blog today!. Today I wanted to show the versatility of the Your Biggest Fan bundle.

Instead of a masculine card I have designed a baby card.  My idea came from a layout that I saw from one of the Artisan Design team members for Stampin Up® Charlet Mallett. I changed up several of the elements that I added and the color scheme.

So below are the instructions, supply list and link to the video I did of this card!

Waves of Inspiration & Beautiful Moments by Stampin Up® Beach scene

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  Oh my gosh this card truly spoke to me.  It reminds me so much of my daughters when they were young.  Although we didn't live next to the beach they use to play outside together when they were little and my oldest often took the younger one by her hand and guided her around!  Sweet Memories.

For this card I combined the Waves of Inspiration bundle with the Beautiful Moments stamp set.

Let's look how I put this all together.

Card Cuts:

Card Base: Pacific Point - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Card Stock - Soft Suede - 4 x 5 1/4
- Basic White - 3 3/4 x 5; 4 x 5 1/4; 3 x 3 1/2
- Pacific Point - 3 x 5 1/2

Instructions:

1.  Adhere the Soft suede piece to the card front.

2.  On the 3 3/4 x 5 piece do the follow steps:

     A.  Using the Waves of Inspiration Stamp set and the large Wave stamp, stamp it about 3/4" from bottom edge in Coast Cabana ink.

    B.  Next you are going to build yourself a mask with a large post it note (2 1/2 x 5):  Stamp the wave stamp onto the post it note then cut it out.

               C.  Place the mask over the stamp image on the Basic White piece then using Pacific Point ink and a blending brush blend in the sky in the top of the piece. (Note: do not blend below the bottom edge of the wave.

               D.  Next using Crumb Cake ink and a blending brush blend in the sand at the bottom of the wave.

              E.  Very carefully use the brush end tip of either the Crumb Cake stamp n write marker or a Stampin Blend and flick the color lightly onto the beach.  Remove Mask!

3.  Now using the line image from the Beautiful Moments Stamp set, stamp it several times onto the beach area in Crumb Cake ink.

4. Using the Wave Dies and the Pacific Point piece (adhere an adhesive sheet to the back) cut out a detailed Wave then adhere it to the Coastal Cabana wave that you stamped.

5.  Using Pacific Point ink stamp the sentiment in the upper right corner as shown.

6.  Adhere this to the Soft Suede piece on the card front.

7.  On the 3 x 3 1/2 Basic White piece stamp the little girl image in Black Memento ink then color in with Stampin Blends:  I used Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy and the following Natural Tones Blends - 800 Medium Light, 700 Medium light, 300 Medium Deep and 200 Deep.  Then cut them out staying as close to the lines as possible.
                A.  From the rest of this piece using the Wave Dies cut out 2 clouds.

8.  Adhere the girls and the clouds to the card front beach scene as shown.

9.  Using Black memento ink add birds as desired.

10.  For the inside : Stamp the sentiment in Pacific Point ink as shown.  Then stamp the flower image as shown in the lower right hand corner and color in with Stampin Blends (Dark Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay)

11.  Adhere to the inside of the card.

All done!  I'd love to hear what memories this brought back to you please leave me a comment below!
