Handsomely Suited "Father's Day"

Thanks for stopping by today!  Today I used products from the Well Suited Suite by Stampin UP®!  Such a fun suite to work with and I love the way the card come out looking like shirts!  We always need masculine cards and this suite allows us to make several different versions for the men in our lives!  

For this card I used the Handsomely Suited Bundle, Well Suited Designer Series Paper (I love that it looks like a suit), Mint Macaron Card stock and Ink and Rectangle Stitched Dies!

Step by Step instructions:

Cut and Card base - DSP = Designer Series Paper

Card Base - Basic White - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored 4 1/4

Layer 1 - Well Suited DSP - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2

Layer 2 - Well Suited DSP - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2

Layer 3 - White - 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 

Layer 4 - White - 1 3/4 x 3 

Layer 5 - Mint Macaron - 2 1/2 x 5 1/2

Layer 6 - Basic Gray - 1 x 1 1/2

Layer 7 - Well Suited DSP - (2) 1/2 x 4 1/4

Instructions:

  1. Layer 1 - Using the Suit & Tie Dies cut out shirt base with "V" in the middle. Set the Shirt Base aside.  On the triangle that cut out using the tiny die with stitching cut out 1 from the top of the triangle.  Set Aside 
  2. Layer 2 - Using the Suit & Tie Dies cut out the lapel then adhere it to Layer 1. Adhere both to the card front!
  3. Layer 3 - Using the Suit & Tie Dies cut out the collar.  Set Aside.
  4. Layer 4 - Using Mint Macaron Ink stamp the sentiment.  Then cut out with the Rectangle Stitched Dies.
  5. Layer 5 - Using Smokey Slate ink stamp the tie image and two of the pocket images. Cut out with the dies.  
  6. Adhere the Tie to the card front about 1/2" from top edge.  Then adhere the Collar flush with the top edge overlapping the tie just a bit. 
  7. Using paper snips, trim off the tip of each pocket.  Then adhere them to the back of the small stitched strip that you cut out in Step 1. Then adhere them to the card front to the right of the lapel as shown. 
  8. Layer 6 - Using the dies cut out 6 buttons.  Then adhere to the card front as shown.
  9. Adhere Layer 4 to the card front as shown using Stampin Dimensionals. 
  10. Layer 7 - Adhere one strip to the top edge and one strip to the bottom edge of the inside of the card.
  11. Stamp the sentiment using Mint Macaron Ink.
