Flowering Blooms Card 3 "Birthday Card"

Here's my last card in the Flowering Blooms series.  This one I went all out using the Dies, Designer Series paper and bringing in another Die set!  This card has a lot of texture and elements but it still goes together quickly!  I'm a fan of the easy button and I get excited about cards that look complicated but are easy to put together!  I hope you have enjoyed my Flowering Bloom series and that it has given you some inspiration to make your own cards!

Here's the video with all three of cards in this series!

Flowering Blooms "Simple Stamping"

Thanks for visiting my Blog today!  This is my first in the Flowering Blooms Series.  Another great Bundle by Stampin Up®.  This first card is a simple stamping card!  This is one of the distinktive stamp sets in the catalog! These stamp sets are perfect for simple stamping because the way they are made naturally puts the shading in the image. I did use a masking technique on this card using a post it note.  This is done by Stamping the image onto a post it note then cutting it out and placing it over a stamped image and layering other images onto the page.  It's an easy way to layer several stamps on top of each other without damaging the original stamped image.

Here's a video showing how I made this card and the masking technique.  There are 2 other cards in this video as well.

https://www.facebook.com/StampinJulieBrown/videos/606992956675219

Instructions:

Cuts and Card Base

Card Base - Basic Black - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Layer 1 - Whisper White - 4 x 5 1/4

Layer 2 - Whisper White - 4 x 5 1/4

Instructions:

Layer 1 - Stamp the flower image onto a post it note then cut out and set aside

A.  Using Flirty Flamingo Ink stamp the large flower image onto Layer 1 towards the bottom right of the sheet. (Try to keep as much of the flower onto the sheet as possible)

B.  Then stamp the image towards the bottom left side stamping off the page.

C.  Next using the Flowers on the vine image.  Stamp between the 2 flower images, stamping off the bottom of the sheet.

D.  Cover the large flower image on the right with the Stamped image on the post it note.  Then stamp 2 more "Flowers on the vine" images as shown. Note: The post it note will protect the original stamped image.

E.  Using Black Memento Ink stamp the sentiment at an angle as shown.

F.  Adhere to the card front.

Layer 2 - Stamp the "Flowers on the Vine" image along the right side of the sheet (top to bottom)

A.  Using Black Memento Ink stamp the sentiment onto the center of the sheet.

B.  Adhere to the inside of the card.

One great thing about Simple Stamping is that is doesn't take a lot of products to make.  This card was made with a Card base, two Whisper White sheets, Flirty Flaming Ink, Black Memento Ink and a Post it Note.  I hope you like this card.  Please leave me a comment below to let me know what you think!
