Ornamentals Envelopes "Celebrate the Season" Simple Stamping

Thanks for popping into my blog!  I love Christmas and the time we spend with family and friends.  I think that's why I love designing Christmas Cards! They help to spread the joy of Christmas.  This card is made using the Ornamental Envelopes Stamp Set and the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set.  It does come with dies and I did use them for the envelope but  I wanted to design a card that just used the stamp set!  I also added in some of the Tis the Season Designer Series Paper to add to the finished look!

Click here for a video link to making this card!

Here are the step by step instructions if you don't like following a video!

Card Base and Cut Instructions (DSP = Designer Series Paper)

Card Base - Cherry Cobbler - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Layer 1 - Tis the Season DSP - 4 1/8 x 5 3/8

Layer 2 - Whisper White - 3 3/4 x 5

Layer 3 - Shaded Spruce - 3/4 x 5 1/2

Layer 4 - Shaded Spurce - 4 1/8 x 5 3/8

Layer 5 - Whisper White - 4 x 5 1/4

Layer 6 - Envelope insert - Tis the Seasons DSP - 4 x 6

Instructions:

Layer 1 - Adhere to the card base.

Layer 2 - Using the large ornament stamp and cherry cobbler ink stamp first image in the center towards the top.  Then stamp one on each side lowering each one but keeping level with each other.

Next using the chain image stamp, stamp the image above each of the stamped images on the sides making sure to just catch the upper image of the ornament image so it looks connected.

Adhere to Layer 1 on the card front centering!

Layer 3 - Using the Itty Bitty Stamp set and Whisper White Craft ink stamp the sentiment onto the center of the the strip.  Then using the Ornamental Envelope stamps set stamp the set of three flowers on the right and left also in Whisper White Craft Ink. Set aside to dry!

Once the pigment ink has dried adhere to the card front using Stampin Dimensionals.

Layer 4 - Adhere to the inside of the card.

Layer 5 - Stamp the ornament image on the right side in Cherry Cobbler ink stampin off the page just a bit.  Then stamp the sentiment in Shaded Spruce in the middle.

Adhere to the Layer 4 on the inside of the card.

Layer 6 - Using the Dies cut out an envelope insert and adhere to the inside of the envelope

So as you can see the card was done with just stamping!  We need to not forget that we can design and make beautiful cards with just stamping the images!  I know I sometimes get caught up with all the dies and punches and forget how beautiful simple stamping can be!  Try it on your next design and let me know how it comes out!

Demonstrator Training Blog Hop November 2020

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Blog Hop! We are so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop for ideas and creative inspiration. We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.

For todays project I used the Framed For You Stamp set.  Now this set does not have a Thank you sentiment so I pulled in the Massive Thanks sentiments stamp set so I could create a Thank You Card.  This card is pretty simple to make and if you let your creativity loose you may find some other stamp sets in your stash that would look great stamped inside the frame.

To make this card start with a Misty Moonlight card base that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  On a Whisper White strip that is 1 x 5 1/2 stamp the sentiment as far to the right as you can using Misty Moonlight ink.  Then stamp three of the flowers (stamping off the top and bottom edge as shown) One in Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Gorgeous Grape. Adhere this strip to the card front.
Now you can stamp your "thank you sentiments onto the card front in Misty Moonlight ink.  NOTE: I stamped the sentiments on the left so that the "Thank" would show above the frame and the "you" would show below the frame.
For the Frame, stamp the frame image using Misty Moonlight ink onto a piece of Whisper White that is 3 1/4 x 3 1/4.  Then using the Layering Square Dies cut out the frame leaving a small white edge.  (DO NOT ADHERE TO THE CARD FRONT AT THIS TIME)
Using Just Jade ink stamp several leaves as shown.
Then on a scrap of Whisper White stamp 2 flowers in Daffodil Delight, 2 in Flirty Flamingo and 1 in Gorgeous Grape.  Using your paper snips fussy cut out each of the flowers.  I used Multi-Liquid Glue to glue down the Daffodil Delight Flowers and the Flirty Flamingo flowers.  Then using a stamping dimensional I popped up the Gorgeous Grape flower in the center.
Add the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel dots to the center of the flowers.
Now your ready to add the frame to the card front using stampin dimensionals as shown.

For the inside of the card I just stamp three of the flower images in the lower right hand corner and the sentiment in the center!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Curvy Gnomes "Thank You"

Here's a card I did for Kylie's International Highlights Blog!  The top ten get to join the blog so hopefully everyone will like this card and vote for it!  I combined the Quite Curvy Bundle ,Gnome for the Holidays and Ornate Thanks Stamp sets all by Stampin Up®.  I really wanted to make it look like the Gnome was in the forest so I used the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper. Then I stamped the leave border from the Quite Curvy Stamp set and colored it with the Stampin Blends.  Note the tree trunk and the "ornaments" hanging on the trunk.  I used the Basic Black markers and turned the ornaments into hearts!

I would love it if you would follow my blog by adding your email to the right under the "Follow m by email"  Then you will be notified each time I add a new card to this blog!

Here are the step by step instructions for making this card!  I hope you will try and leave me a comment below on how it turned out for you!

Card Base and Cut instructions: (DSP = Designer Series Paper)

Card Base - Pretty Peacock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Layer 1 - Whisper White - 4 x 5 1/4

Layer 2 - Forever Greenery DSP - 2 1/4 x 5 1/4

Layer 3 - Soft Sea Foam Card Stock - 2 1/4 x 5 1/4

Layer 4 - Forever Greenery DSP - 2 1/4 x 5 1/4

Layer 5 - Whisper White Card Stock - 2 x 5 1/2

Layer 6 - Whisper White Card Stock - 2 x 5 1/2

Layer 7 - Whisper White Card Stock - 1 x 3

Layer 8 - Pretty Peacock Card Stock - 1 x 3

Layer 9 - Whisper White Card Stock - 3/4 x 3

Layer 9 - Pretty Peacock Card Stock - 5/8 x 2 5/8

Layer 11 - Whisper White Card Stock - 4 x 5 1/4

Instructions:

Pick 2 of the patterned designs from the Forever Greenery DSP.

You will want to build your curvy pieces onto the Layer 1 before adhering it to the card front so we will start with Layer 2.

1.  Layer 2 - Using the Dotted die from the Curvy Dies cut the top edge off of this piece being aware of where your cut edge is on the die. (You want to make sure that the dots lay on the top edge of the largest piece)  You will want to trim the straight edge of this piece so that the top curve will sit about 2" from the top edge of Layer 1.  Adhere to Layer 1.

2.  Layer 3 - Using the same die cut again cut the top edge off this piece being aware of where the cut edge is this piece you do not want the dots to be on the top edge.  Place it about 1/2" below the top edge of Layer 2 If it hangs off the bottom trim off the edge to be flush to Layer 1.

3.  Layer 4 - Do the same as the last 2 layers.  You will want the dotted edge on the bottom piece. Note: you will not adhere this piece right now.  Set it aside.

4.  Layer 5 - Using Black Memento ink and the Gnome for the Holiday stamp set.  Stamp the tree trunk and the Gnome with his hands stretched out.  Using the Black Stamp N Write Marker turn the ornaments on the trunk into hearts or you can draw in veins to make them look live leaves.  Then color in both images with Stampin Blends. I used them in the following way:

Tree Trunk - Crumb Cake Combo

Door, Knot on Tree and Line and top of ornaments - Soft Suede Combo

Grass - Just Jade

Ornaments (Heart or leaves) - Light Just Jade

Gnome hat - Soft Suede

Gnome nose, hands and face - light Petal Pink

Gnome clothes - Pretty Peacock

Gnome shoes - Just Jade

Fussy cut both images with your Paper snips (Note: I cut off the rock on the bottom of the trunk image)

Now you need Layer 4 that you set aside.  Measure it so that you have about 1/2" to 3/4" from top edge of Layer 3.  Do not adhere yet.

Place the trunk on the right side so that the top edge of Layer 4 will just barely cover the bottom edge then adhere trunk with liquid glue on the bottom and Stampin Dimensionals on the top.

Next place the Gnome towards the left side so that his foot on the right side is just below Layer 4 and then adhere him to Layer 3 using Liquid Glue on the bottom edge and Stampin Dimensionals on his hat!

Now go ahead and adhere Layer 4 onto card front covering the bottom edges of the Gnome and Tree Trunk as stated above.

5.  Layer 6 - Stamp the Large Leaf Border from the Quite Curvy Stamp set and the small twig in Black Memento ink.

Color in with Stampin Blends.

I used Soft Sea Foam and Just Jade for the large leaf border and Just Jade for the small twig.

Cut out with the Curvy Dies.

Measure the large border with the top of the Tree Trunk then trim with Paper snips so that you just have enough to cover the top of the trunk.  Set aside the larger piece.

Adhere the smaller border to the top of the tree trunk using liquid glue on the bottom edge and stampin dimensionals on the top edge.

Adhere the larger border piece along the top edge of Layer 4 partially covering the Gnome using Liquid Glue.

Adhere the twig to the end of the Gnome's hat covering the bell using liquid glue.

6.  Layer 7 - Using Soft Suede ink and the Ornate Thanks stamp set, stamp sentiment onto center of this layer then using the Rectangle Stitched Dies cut out the label.  Then adhere it to Layer 8.

7.  Layer 8 - Adhere to the card front as shown using Stamp N Seal.

8.  Layer 9 - Using Soft Suede ink and the Gnome for the Holidays stamp set, stamp the sentiment onto the center of this sheet.  Then using the Rectangle Stitched Dies cut out the label.  Adhere it to Layer 10.

9.  Layer 10 - Adhere to the card front on the bottom right side just below the tree trunk using Stamp N Seal.  Add the Enamel dots as shown.

10.  Using Black Memento Ink stamp the large leaf border along the right side top to bottom.  Color in with Stampin Blends just like Layer 6.  Stamp the sentiment from the Ornate Thanks stamp set in Soft Suede onto the center of this sheet.  Then adhere to the inside of the card as shown below!
