Shark Frenzy by Stampin UP® Fun fold card

Welcome to my blog today!  I'm so glad you joined me and hope that this card will bring a little smile to you!

For this card I used the Shark Frenzy Bundle by Stampin Up! I also added in the Whale of A Time Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalog!  It was perfect for sharks!

I wanted to do a fun fold card so looked up different templates for fun fold cards and found this one that Lisa Tedder had complied.  After trying it out I have made some adjustments so that it lays better and when folded it doesn't hang out the left side.

Here's a link to a facebook live I did with step by step instructions!  You may find it a little easier to watch this video if the template below does not make sense to you!  I sometimes need to see it before I understand it!

Demonstrator Training Program March 2021 Blog Hop

So glad you are joining us for another trip around the world for some card making!  This Demonstrator Training Program consists of Stampin UP® demonstrators from across the world so you will get an opportunity to get a good look at cards from quite a few different perspectives.  All the cards that we do will have a "Thank You" theme!  I hope you enjoy the Blog Hop and don't forget to leave a few comments on the cards that really speak to you!

I created this card from the scraps left over from another card I created using the Brushed Blooms Bundle by Stampin Up®  To see the other card just click on the Brushed Blooms Birthday plus on the right.

So the first thing I did was to use sponge daubers and color in the brushed pieces on the card front (which were the leftover cutouts from the other card)  I used Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight inks.  The die put some embossed sections on these that look really great when you ink them up!

Next using Magenta Madness ink and the large and small flower stamps, I created a background on the card front.  Then adhere the Basic Black piece to the card front.  Now add your brushstroke pieces as shown.

Using the Happy Thoughts Stamp set and Black Memento ink stamp the "Thank You" sentiment then run through the Stampin Cut Machine using the label from the Ornate Frames Dies.

I used the Coastal Cabana ribbon from the Playing with Patterns ribbon combo and wove it on the back side of the label.  Then adhered the label to the card front using Stampin Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card I attached a Black Matte.  On the Basic White piece I stamped the small brushstroke image using Magenta Madness.  I wanted it to fade from left to right so I stamped full ink on the left image and then stamped again before reinking for the image on the right.

I did not stamp a sentiment on the inside as I like to write my own message on my Thank You Card!

I hope you enjoy this card and especially enjoy the Blog Hop! Have fun!

A supply list and card cuts for this card can be found below the Blog Hop List!  Don't forget to leave a comment below and let me know what you think.

Sketches and Pretty Perennials

So glad you popped in today to see what I've been up too!   Yesterday I posted a card that I did using a sketch!  I wanted to show you the versatility of using a sketch so today's card is another version of the same sketch using a completely different Bundle by Stampin UP®

For this card I used the Pretty Perennials Bundle and the Approaching Perfection stamp set (Sale A Bration item).  This bundle includes the Pretty Perennials stamp set and the Perennial Petals Dies.

I used a Thick Basic White card base, Night of Navy, Soft Sea Foam and Basic White card stock, Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper (Sale A Bration) and the Neutrals Designer Series Paper

First I adhered the Paper Blooms DSP to the card front.  Then added the Neutrals DSP to the center of the card front as shown.

Next I used the Banners Pick a Punch to punch the right edge of the Basic White Strip into a banner. Then I stamped the sentiment using Night of Navy ink placing it towards the right side of the strip.

Using the Pretty Perennials Stamp set I stamped three of the medium flowers in Rococo Rose ink and the word "happy" in Night of Navy ink onto the Basic White cardstock.   I used the Perennial Petals Dies to cut out the flowers and fussy cut out the word.  Next using the Perennial Petals Dies I cut out the detailed leaves from the Soft Sea foam cardstock.

Now your ready to build your card front. I placed the banner first as shown.  Then built up the flowers and leaves.  I did pop up one of the flowers using Stampin dimensionals.  Then I placed the word "happy" at an angle in the top left corner as shown.

Last I added some small Basic Rhinestones to the center of the flowers!

For the inside I adhered the Night of Navy matte.  On the Basic White cardstock I stamped the small flowers in Rococo Rose ink the lower right hand corner.  Stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink then adhered to the Night of Navy Matte.

I hope that this card and yesterdays card really show you how you can use a sketch with different Stamp set and bundles to create a completely different card!  Sketches are great to help you if your struggling with a design.  I often use them when I'm having a creative block.  Once I get started then my creativity will kick in and I'm again off an running with designing cards!

You can find all kinds of card sketches on Pinterest!

Please note that I did use several of the Sale A Bration items on this card.  Sale A Bration ended at the end of February so if you did not get these items during Sale A Bration you will need to substitute it for something you have on hand!

Thanks again for stopping by my blog today.  Please leave me a comment below I would love to hear from you!
