World of Good Memories and More Card Pack fun!

Thanks for coming to my blog today!  I started with Stampin Up® as a scrapbooker and used alot of the Memories and More card packs for scrapbooking.  Now that I'm a demonstrator I focus more on making cards but still due layouts for some of my customers in my monthly group.  This time I wanted to focus on using these great card packs for making quick and easy cards!  When combined with the World of Good Designer Series paper they look great on cards!

Project Recipe:

  1. Cuts for card base, card stock and Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    Card Base: Early Espresso 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
    Layer 1 - World of Good (DSP) - 1 1/4 x 5 1/2
    Layer 2 - World of Good (DSP) - 3 x 5 1/2
Layer 3 - World of Good Memories and More Card Pack - 3 x 4 (with sentiment on it)
    Layer 4 - Crumb Cake 4 x 5 1/4
  2. Layer 1 - Adhere to the card front on the right side, leaving a slight edge around the top, bottom and right edge.
  3. Layer 2 - Run through the Old World Paper embossing folder. Then attach Layer 3 about 1/2" from left side. (Note: it will hang off the right side), String a buckle from the Antiqued Corners & Sliders through the Faux Suede Trim then wrap around Layers 2 and 3 as shown. (Note: I have found that using Mini Glue dots works best to adhere this trim). Then adhere to the card front. Overlapping Layer 1.
  4. Layer 4 - Stamp Sentiment with White Craft ink (I advise using a stamparatus if you have one) then adhere to the inside of the card!

Tropical Oasis Suite - Watercolor Card 3!

So glad you stopped by my blog today!  This card is the third card in my Watercolor series using supplies from the Tropical Oasis Suite.  You'll notice that this card also has Triangles in the layout which always makes a fun way to design your cards!  Enjoy!

Project Recipe:

  1. Cuts for Card Base, Card Stock and Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    Card Base: Daffodil Delight 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
    Layer 1 - Tropical Oasis DSP - 4 x 5 1/2
    Layer 2 - Tropical Oasis DSP - 2 x 5 1/2
    Layer 3 - Shimmery White 2 x 2
    Layer 4 - Whisper White - 4 x 5 1/4
  2. Layer 1 - Place onto Paper Trimmer and cut at an angle making 2 triangles. (Line up the top right corner and the bottom left corner with the trimmer cutting track). Adhere one to the card front lining up right edges. It will be short on the bottom left corner but we will be covering it. (The other triangle is extra save for another card)
  3. Layer 2 - Cut at an angle follow the instructions for Layer 1 to set up paper in the paper trimmer correctly. Then adhere to the bottom of the card front overlapping Layer one with 2" side on the left.
  4. Cut a piece of Braided Burlap trim about 4 3/4" then carefully lay down a strip of tear and tape just along the top of the triangle in the bottom left corner to the right side of the card. Be careful to get this straight. Then lay the Braided Burlap trim onto the Tear and Tape. Trim off any excess.
  5. Layer 3 - Stamp one flower in Saddle Brown Staz-on ink.
  6. Layer 3 - Then color with Watercolor Pencils. I used Real Read, and Calypso Coral (Note: add darkest color to the center of flower moving outward with lighter colors. Remember you don't need to color the whole flower just sections as you go out.
  7. Then using the Aqua Painter blend the colors from the center out. (Tip: Aqua Painter should be damp but not soaking wet). Set aside to dry. Once dry cut out using the In The Tropics Dies. Then adhere with Stampin Dimensionals to the card front straddling the Braided Burlap Trim right where the two triangle meet.
  8. To stamp the sentiment in Black Memento Ink onto the card front. It is easier if you have a Stamparatus. Set card into Stamparatus, line up stamp along edge of DSP, pick up onto the Stamparatus plate, ink up and stamp. (If it doesn't come out perfect then re-ink the stamp and stamp again). If you don't have a stamparatus then you will need to make sure you are putting plenty of pressure on the stamp.
  9. Layer 4 - Stamp large flower in Real Red ink onto the center of this sheet. Then stamp sentiment in Black Memento ink into the center of the flower. Adhere to the inside of the card.
  10. Color three Rhinestones with the Dark Real Red stampin blend then add to card front placing one on each end of the sentiment and one in the center of the flower.
Thanks again for dropping by and please leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my card!  I would love to hear from you!
