Textures & Frames - Making Cards from Shapes and Frames! Halloween card!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  Do you have those stamps sets that have tons of shapes and frames and your not sure what to do with them?  Well I am doing a series of cards made with the Textures & Frames Stamp set by Stampin UP®.  This stamp set is one of the Sale A Bration stamps that you can get for free with a minimum order through September 30, 2021.  So if you are ready this after that date the stamp set will not be available but the steps for designing will work with whatever you have on hand!

I added in the Cutest Halloween Bundle stamp set  from our July - December 2021 Mini Catalog and came up with this adorable Halloween card!

Below you will find the card cuts, instructions, list of supplies used and a link to a video I did with all my cards from this series!

Layer 1 - Basic White - 4 x 5 1/4
Layer 2 - Basic Black - 2 x 3

Instructions:

Layer 1 -

1. Using Black Memento Ink and the outline circle stamp from the Textures & Frames stamp set, Stamp several circles as shown

2.  Using Highland Heather Ink and the splotch stamp from the Textures & Frames stamp set, stamp several splotches as shown.

Note: the next few steps you will be using stamps from the Cutest Halloween Stamp set.  These are two step stamps so there is a solid and detailed image for the cat, ghost and pumpkin!

3.  Using Black Memento ink and the Cutest Halloween stamp set, stamp the spiders as shown inside the circles that are on each side of the sheet.

4.  Next using the candy corn stamp, stamp inside one of the circles using Black memento ink then color in with Stampin Blends. (I used Dark Pumpkin Pie and Dark Daffodil Delight)

5.  Using Smokey Slate ink stamp the solid cat image inside one of the circles as shown.
  • Then using Black Memento ink stamp the detailed cat image over the top of the solid image.
  • Now stamp the cat face features using Black Memento ink.
6.  Using Pumpkin Pie ink, Stamp the solid pumpkin image inside one of the circles as shown:
  • Then with Black Memento Ink stamp the detailed image over the top
  • Stamp the pumpkin fame with Black Memento Ink
  • Color in the stem with the Granny Apple Green stampin blend.
7. Using Highland Heather ink, second generations stamp the Ghost inside of the circles. (Note: you will need to mask off so that the ghost does not go outside the circle)
  • Then with Black Memento Ink stamp the detailed image over the top (still masking off)
  • Next stamp the face and hands in Black Memento ink
8.  Wrap ribbon around Layer 1 then adhere to the card front.

9.  Layer 2 - Using the Frightful Tags Dies cut out a label.
  • Using Whisper White pigment ink stamp the sentiment as shown.
  • Adhere to the card front using Stampin Dimensionals.
  • Add the Cute Stars embellishments as shown.
10. Layer 3 - Stamp the sentiment as shown:
  • Using Highland Heather ink stamp the splotches in the bottom right hand corner as shown.
  • Stamp three spiders in black memento ink then hand draw the lines to the top of the sheet as shown.
  • Adhere to the inside of the card!
All done!
