Julie's Creative Stamping: Stampin Up's® Turtle Friends "Birthday Celebration"

Thanks for stopping by today! Turtles are one of my favorite animals so when I saw this Turtle Friends bundle by Stampin Up® I had to have it!

I wanted to design a fun birthday card so decided to use the hats and confetti from the stamp set.

This set comes with a turtle punch that punches out the largest turtle in the stamp set. I like anything that makes it easier to cut something out.

Card cuts -

Card Base - Thick Basic White - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Layer 1 - Basic White - 4 x 5 1/4

Layer 2 - Night of Navy - 2 x 4

Layer 3 - Soft Suede - 1/2 x 4

Layer 4 - Basic White - 2 1/2 x 2 1/2

Instructions:

1. Layer 1 - Using Night of Navy ink stamp several of the hats on the bottom section as shown. (Note: you will want to place one of the hats so that it will lay just behind where the turtle is going to be)

Color in that hat with the Night of Navy Stampin Blends.

2. Layer 2 - Using Versa Mark ink stamp the confetti image across the page as shown.

Cover with White Embossing Powder, brush off excess
Heat up with Heat Tool
Adhere to the top of Layer 1.

3. Layer 3 - Using Versa Mark ink stamp the sentiment in the center.

Cover with White Embossing Powder, brush off excess powder.
Heat up with Heat Tool.
Adhere to card front layering over Layer 1 & 2 as shown.

4. Layer 4 - Stamp large turtle image in Night of Navy ink.

Next stamp the shell image in Night of Navy ink over the turtle image.
Color in with Light Night of Navy Stampin Blends
Cut out with Turtle Punch
Adhere with Dimensionals to the front of the card placing Turtles head in line with the colored hat.

5. On the inside of the card stamp the large turtle in Night of Navy ink.
