Snow Wonder by Stampin UP® "Winter wonderland"

Glad you popped by today!  The Snow Wonder Bundle is one of my favorites bundles for Christmas!  I just love the way the Snowman looks.  This bundle has it all, images, sentiments and dies to cut out the images and labels for the sentiment.  You can't go wrong here!  I had not done a Christmas Card using the purples yet and thought this one would be perfect.  The use of the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series paper helped with the purple tones. One of the things I've struggled with in the past is doing snow hills and banks.  For this card I just drew them on a piece of Whisper White and then cut them out.  It worked great. I also sponged the edges of the hills so that they would pop on the card front. Another great benefit with this bundle is the cards go together really quick!  Always a huge plus in my eyes!  Tell me what you think in the comments below!

Card Base and Cut Instructions: (DSP = Designer Series Paper)

Card Base: Highland Heather 5 ½ x 8 ½ scored at 4 ¼

Card Stock: WW (2) 4 x 5 ¼, 3 ½ x 4, 2 x 4

DSP: Snowflake Splendor (153512) 4 x 5 ¼

Step by Step Instructions:

1.       1.   Wrap ribbon around the top of the DSP then adhere to the card front.

2.      2.   Draw out three snow hills on the 4 x 5 ¼ WW (VERY IMPORTANT – cut out the largest hill first)

3.       3.  Using the Mint Macaron ink stamp the trees image twice onto the largest snow hill using the second generation technique.

4.      4.   Chalk top edges of snow hills using Balmy Blue ink and a sponge dauber.

5.       5.  Adhere snow hills to the card front – Start with the largest snow hill then medium one then small one.  Layer onto each other and the DSP keeping bottom edges flush.

6.       6.  On the 3 ½ x 4 Whisper White piece,  using Black memento ink, stamp the snowman –make sure to stamp it as close to the left side as possible so that you can fit the tree on the same sheet.

7.       7.  Next on the same sheet using Mint Macaron ink stamp the tree image.

8.       8.  Using the Snow Time Dies cut out both the snow man and the tree.

9.       9.  Using the Stampin Blends color in the snowman.  I used Highland Heather for the scarf and hat and Balmy blue for the shaded parts of his body.

10 10.  Adhere the Snowman and trees to card front as shown.

1   11.  On the 2 x 4 Whisper White piece using Black Memento ink stamp the sentiment then cut out with the large label die in the Snow Time Dies.  Sponge around edges with Highland Heather Ink.

     12.   Using Stampin Dimensionals adhere to card front straddling the ribbon.

     13.   Using the embossing corner dies, emboss the top right and lower right corner of the other 4 x 5 ¼ Whisper White piece.

     14.  Color over the embossed snowflakes with the Wink of Stella.

2.  15.  In Black Memento ink stamp the sentiment then adhere to the inside of the card.

3.   16.  Using the Dark Misty Moonlight Stampin Blend color in three small rhinestones.

4.   17.   Adhere the rhinestones to the sentiment label on the front of the card as shown.

     18.    Add Wink of Stella to the snowflakes, trees and Snowman on the card front as desired.
