Elegantly Said Embossing with Vellum

Welcome to my blog!

For this card I kind of went outside the box and used some different colors than I have done with other card I have made from the Simply Elegant Suite!

I used a Blackberry Bliss card base, Card stock and ink.  Did some embossing on Vellum with Versa Mark ink and White Embossing Powder and used the Blackberry Stampin Blend to color in the White Crinkled ribbon.

Here are the card cuts, instructions and supply list for this card:

Card Base = Blackberry Bliss - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Layer 1 - Basic White - 4 x 5 1/4

Layer 2 - Vellum - 4 x 5 1/4

Layer 3 - Blackberry Bliss - 3 x 3

Layer 4 - Basic White - 4 x 5 1/4

Instructions:

1. Layer 1 - Using the Flower stamp and Blackberry Bliss ink stamp several stamps onto the sheet making sure to stamp some of them partial off the sheet.

  • Next using a Blending Brush and Blackberry Bliss ink blend over the stamped images blending darker and lighter areas.

2. Layer 2 - Using the Versa Mark ink and the large flourish image stamp several time onto the vellum again stamping some of the images partial off the sheet.

  • Cover with White Embossing Powder, shake off any excess powder
  • Heat up with heat tool.
  • Adhere to Layer 1 placing mini glue dots strategically so they cannot be seen
3. Using the Dark Blackberry Bliss stampin blend color in the White crinkled ribbon.  Set aside to dry
  • Once it is dry wrap around both Layer 1 and 2 and tie a bow as shown.
  • Adhere both layers to the card front.
4. Layer 3 - Using Versa Mark ink stamp the sentiment onto the center.
  • Cover with White Embossing powder, shake off any excess powder
  • Heat with Heat Tool
  • Cut out with the Elegant Tag Punch
  • Adhere to card front straddling the ribbon on the left side using Dimensionals.
5. Adhere three Basic Pearls to the tag.

6. Layer 4 - Using Blackberry Bliss ink stamp the sentiment and Flower as shown.
  • Adhere to the inside of the card
