Hello LadyBug, A Bee?


Hope your enjoying my month of Stampin Up's® retiring products from the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalog!  Now some of these products may already be gone as once they go on the Last Chance Products they go quickly!

For this card I wanted to show how to turn that adorable Ladybug into a bee!

Below you will find the card cuts, instructions and supply list!  Enjoy!


Card cuts: Card Base - Basic Black = 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 --Card Stock - Daffodil Delight = 4 1/8 x 5 3/8; 1 3/4 x 4; (3) 1/4 x 2 -----Basic White = (2) 4 x 5 1/4 ----Real Red = 1 3/4 x 4-----Granny Apple Green = 1 3/4 x 4----- Basic Black = 2 x 3 1/2, (2) 1/4 x 2; 7/8 x 4----Specialty Paper - Vellum = 2 x 2

Instructions:  

Die cutting/Punching:

1.  Using the Stitched with Whimsey Dies run one of the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White pieces through the Die cut machine.  Set Aside.

2.  Using the Medium Daisy Punch - Punch out the following:

A.  2 Daisies from the Granny Apple Green, Real Red and Daffodil Delight pieces.

3.  Using the Ladybug Builder Punch - Punch out the following:

A.  First layer your 1/4 x 2 Daffodil strips onto the 2 x 3 1/2 Basic Black piece leaving about 1/4" between each strip. Then ----

A.  Punch out a the Ladybug body 

4.  Using the Ladybug punch and the vellum cut out the wings. 

Stamping:

5.  Using the following inks (Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green & Real Red) and the Daisy image stamp several daisies onto the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White piece that you set aside above.  (With Stitched with Whimsey embossed on it) See card above for placement and colors.  Stamp the inside of the flowers changing out the colors as shown above.

6.  On the other 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White piece stamp three Daisies in the bottom right hand corner as shown above and the sentiment in Black Memento Ink as shown.

7.  Using an embossing buddy wipe across the 7/8 x 4 Basic Black Strip then stamp the sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp set using versa mark ink.  Cover with White embossing powder shake off excess and heat up with heat tool. 

Assemble:

8.  Adhere the 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 Daffodil Matte to the card front.

9.  Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White piece that you stamped and embossed with the Stitched Whimsey dies to the card front.

10.  Using Mini glue dots put together the Daisy flowers as shown (you will need to offset the leaves) then add them to card front as shown using Dimensionals making sure to leave room for the bee at the top.

11.  Adhere the wings to the bee with a mini glue dot and cover the glue dot with one of the black Matte Dots.  

12.  Apply white classic matte dots to the center of the daisies. 

13.  Adhere the other 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White sheet to the inside of the card.
