Julie's Creative Stamping: Crane of Fortune Fun Fold Card

Thank you for stopping by today! Although I have been focusing on retiring products this month for this card it's a combination of Old and New. The Stamp Set and Dies will be retiring at the end of this month but the Designer series paper is in the new annual catalog. I felt like this paper when well with the lovely crane.

Below you will find the card cuts, instructions, supply list and a video link with this card and one other from the Crane of Fortune Suite!

Card Cuts: DSP = Designer Series Paper

Card Base - Thick Basic White = 4 1/4 x 8 scored at 2 1/2

- Thick Basic White = 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Card Stock - Gray Granite = 4 1/8 x 5 3/8; 2 3/8 x 4 1/8; (2) 3 1/8 x 4 1/8; 1 1/4 x 3 3/4

- Starry Sky = 3 x 4

- Basic White = (2) 3 x 4

DSP = Sun Prints - 4 x 5 1/4; 2 1/4 x 4

Instructions:

Stamping:

1. Wipe the embossing buddy across the Starry Sky piece then:

A. Using the flower stamp from the Nature's Print stamp set and versa mark ink:

**Stamp the image onto the left side of this sheet.

**Then stamp the Fern like image onto the right side of this sheet.

** Cover with White Embossing powder, shake off excess powder set aside.

2. Wipe the embossing buddy once again across the 1 1/4 x 3 3/4 Gray Granite piece. Then:

** Stamp the sentiment from the Nature's Print set using Versa Mark ink.

** Cove with White embossing powder, wipe off excess powder.

** Take this piece and the last one you added embossing powder to and heat up with heat tool.

3. Using Gray Granite Ink stamp the Crane from the Crane of Fortune set onto one of the 3 x 4 Basic White pieces.

4. On the other 3 x 4 Basic White piece stamp the sentiment from Crane of Fortune as shown and the flower in the bottom right hand corner using Starry Night ink.

Die Cutting:

5. Using the Good Fortune Dies cut out the Crane that you just stamped.

6. Using the Stylish Shape Dies cut out the largest banner from the Gray Granite Strip with the sentiment you just embossed.

Assemble:

7. Starting with the 4 1/4 x 8 card base do the following:

A. Adhere the 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 Gray Granite piece to the right side.

B. Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 DSP to the Gray Granite piece on the right side.

8. Close front flap then adhere the 2 3/8 x 4 1/8 Gray Granite piece to the front flap

**Then adhere the 2 1/4 x 4 DSP to the front flap as well.

9. Now working with the other part of the card base. Fold in half with the opening on the left side.

** Adhere to the other card base piece about 1/2" from left side of DSP and about 3/8" from top and bottom edges. (Make sure it opens from the left to right)

**Next open this piece and on the inside adhere one of the 3 1/8 x 4 1/8 Gray Granite pieces.

**Then adhere the White piece that you stamped.

10. Close this piece and adhere the other 3 1/8 x 4 1/8 Gray Granite piece to the front panel.

** Then adhere the Starry Night piece that you embossed.

Take a piece of the ribbon and separate the ends so they look frayed then using glue dots adhere it to the front panel from the lower left corner to the top right corner. (Note only place glue dots in the center)

11. Using Dimensionals adhere the Crane to the front panel centering onto the panel.

12. Next using Dimensionals on each end adhere the sentiment banner label over the crane as shown.

To close the card fold down left flap then right panel.
