Julie's Creative Stamping: Artfully Layered Birthday Wishes!

Thanks for popping in, if this is your first time joining me I just want to let you know that for the month of June I will be showcasing suites from the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalog by Stampin Up®. Most of the products from this catalog are due to retire June 30th so I wanted to let you see them now!

I hope your enjoying my month of June and see things that are inspiring you to get out your stamps and get busy stamping and creating.

Below you will find the card cuts, instructions, supply list and link to a video I did showing how to make this card and one other!

Card Cuts: (DSP = Designer Series Paper)

Card Base - Thick Basic White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Card Stock - Basic White= 4 x 5 1/4, 3 x 3

- Basic Black = 1 x 3 1/4; (2) 1/2 x 5 1/2

- Just Jade = 4 1/8 x 5 3/8

DSP - Artfully Composed= 2 1/2 x 5 1/2; 4 x 5 1/4 (to die cut out leaves)

Instructions:

Stamping:

1. Using Just Jade ink stamp the large fern like leaf in the bottom right hand corner of the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White piece. Then using Black Memento ink stamp the sentiment towards the top/center.

2. Using Black Memento ink stamp the large more rounded leaf onto the 3 x 3 Basic White piece then color in with Calypso Coral Stampin Blends.

3. Using an embossing buddy swipe across the 1 x 3 1/4 Basic Black piece then stamp sentiment with Versa Mark ink. Cover with White embossing powder, shake off excess powder then heat up with heat tool.

Die Cutting:

4. Using the Tropical Layer Dies cut out the stamped and colored leaf from the 3 x 3 Basic White sheet.

5. Now die cut out some of the leaves from the DSP. (Note: the long fern like die does not fit the leaves on the DSP but they do fit well enough for it to cut out and look great) I cut out three of the long fern like leaves and one of the more walnut looking leaf! See card above to see what I did!

6. Now using the long scalloped border die cut out the edges on both of the 1/2 x 5 1/2 Basic Black Strips.

Assemble:

7. Using Calypso Coral stampin blend color in the ribbon and set aside.

7. Adhere the 2 scalloped border pieces to the back of the DSP piece making sure to line up the DSP just to the edge of the stitched line. (You want to see the stitching)

8. Then adhere it all to the card front centering left and right and flush to the top and bottom edges.

9. Next layer the long fern like leaves onto the last piece as shown.

10. Then layer on the stamped leaf.

11. Next using Dimensionals adhere the DSP die cut leaf as shown. Then tie a bow in the ribbon and add to stem with a Mini Glue Dot.

12. Using Dimensionals adhere the sentiment label just below the last leaf added as shown.

13. Adhere the Just Jade piece to the inside of the card.

14. Adhere the other Basic White piece that you stamped earlier to the inside of the card.

15. Apply Faux Sea Glass to the card front as desired.
