Sketches and Kangaroo & Company by Stampin Up®

Welcome to my blog today!  For this card I used a sketch and the Kangaroo & Company Bundle by Stampin Up®.  This bundle includes the Kangaroo & Company stamp set and the Kangaroo Dies.

This is the first card in my two part card series for this sketch.  The second card I used the Pretty Perennials Bundle!  It will be posted in tomorrows Blog!

For this card I used a Thick Basic White card base, Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper (Sale A Bration item), In Color 2019-2021 Designer Series Paper, Rococo Rose Card stock and Basic White Card Stock.

On one of the Basic White sheets stamp the Kangaroo Images using Black Memento Ink.  Color with Stampin Blends. (Colors listed below)  Cut out using the Kangaroo Dies and Stampin Die Cut machine.  Cut out 4 of the small banners.  Then using Rococo Rose ink, stamp 2 hearts on 2 of them, "Hello Baby" on one and "Hello, Hello" on the last one.

Matte the Hello Baby sentiment with a piece of Rococo Rose.  On the other three trim bottoms to form a banner then Matte with Rococo Rose card stock and trim those into a banner a well. (Note: I trimmed the banner on the Matte after I adhered the White one to the front of it)

Adhere the Subtles DSP to the Paper Blooms DSP.  Wrap twine at an angle from left to right and also wrap some around the middle and tie a bow.  Now adhere both to the card front.

Adhere banners and Kangaroo as shown.  I used Stampin Dimensionals to pop up the Kangaroo and the "hello baby" banner.

For the inside I adhere a Rococo Rose matte.  Then on the Basic White piece using the Kangaroo & Company Stamp Set I stamped the heart image in the lower right hand corner in Rococo Rose ink.  The sentiment in the same ink was from the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set!  You may have notice I have used this sentiment stamp quite often!  It' a great stamp as it has so many different sentiments that can be used on several different cards!

Brushed Blooms "Birthday" plus

Glad your stopping by today!  Today I am working with the Brushed Blooms Bundle by Stampin Up®.
I'm loving the cards that I'm getting from this bundle!  The bundle includes the Brushed Blooms stamps set and the Beautiful Brushstrokes Dies.  I have to admit when I saw these dies I wasn't sure how I would use them or even if I liked them.  This just goes to show that sometimes you have to play with a set to see what it can do!  I'm now in love with it!  Of course I shouldn't be surprised because Stampin Up® has great designers!

Ok for this card I used a Basic Black card base, Basic White card stock and three sheets from the Oh So Ombre (Sale A Bration) Designer Series Paper.  Note: If you were not able to get this paper during Sale A Bration then I would probably do a watercolor paper with Granny Apple Green ink to create the same effect for the card front and just use different shades of the Stampin Up® pinks and purples card stock for the flowers.   I also used the Happy Thoughts stamp set for the inside sentiment!

Lets get started.  First using the Beautiful Brushstrokes large die run it through the Stampin Die Cut machine on one of the Basic White pieces (VERY IMPORTANT - Save the pieces that come out of the frame I will be posting another card on March 15th  Demonstrator Training Program March Blog Hop that uses these pieces).  Now adhere the Granny Apple Green "Oh So Ombre" sheet to the backside of this piece.  Adhere them both to the card front.

Stamp Sentiment using Black Memento ink centering on bottom edge.  Then using Granny Apple Green stamp the dot images stamping off after the first time so that you get the same Ombre look.

Next using the Beautiful Brushstrokes Flower dies and the Rococo Rose and Blackberry Bliss "Oh So Ombre" sheets cut out a set of large and small flowers from each sheet.  Make sure to position the dies so that the Outline die is on the darkest section then go up with the detailed flower dies so that they will be lighter in color. Once you have them cut out then build each flower using the outline die as your base then adding detailed dies.  Using liquid glue apply flowers to card front as shown. (Note: I did slightly tuck a small edge under each cutout section.

Color in some Basic Rhinestone with the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin Blend then apply to card front as desired.

For the inside using the large brushstroke stamp image, stamp full ink in Granny Apple Green then right underneath stamp again and once again without reinking between the first, second and third image. Again that is how you get the ombre look. Then using Black Memento ink and the Happy Thoughts Stamp set, stamp the "Happy Birthday" sentiment over the top of the Ombre images.  Adhere to the inside of the card and your are done!

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Please don't forget to leave me a comment below!  Also if you'd like to be notified each time I add a card to this blog just add your email to the right in the "Follow Me" section!

Don't forget to come back on March 15th and check out the card I made using the extra pieces from the large die cutout!  It will be part of a Demonstrator Training Blog Hop with Demonstrators from around the world!

Pretty Perennials (Stamps by Stampin Up®) "Friendship"

Thanks for stopping by today!  This is a card that I did for my card class in February and it was such a hit that I thought I would share it on my blog for everyone!  As you know I use Stampin Up® products for all of my cards.  This card is made using the Pretty Perennials Bundle which includes the Pretty Perennials stamps set and the Perennial Petals Dies.  For those of you unfamiliar with what a bundle is, it's when Stampin Up® coordinated a Stamp set with either a die set or punch.  I love bundles but if you know me well you know that I love an "Easy" button and that is what bundles are for me!

For this card I did use one of the Sale A Bration Designer Series Paper "Flower and Field" but if you were not able to get this free paper during Sale A Bration you can use any DSP that you have on hand!  I also brought in the Ornate Frame Dies for the sentiment frame on the card front.

Lets put it together:  First I used Thick Basic White as my card base.  Then I adhered a piece of Granny Apple Green card stock to the card front.  Next I layered the Flower and Field DSP onto the card front.

Now you need to do some stamping.  I used Pool Party ink and stamped 2 large flowers, 2 medium flowers and three small flowers onto one of the 4 x 5 1/4  Basic White pieces.  Then stamp the leaves using Granny Apple Green ink. (For the leaves you will be doing 2 step stamping and 2nd generation stamping.)  First stamp the detailed leaves in Granny Apple Green, then stamp the solid image over the first image BUT you will stamp off onto a piece of scrap paper before stamping over the detailed image.  This will make it a slightly lighter color.  Cut out using the Perennial Petals dies.

On the 3 3/4 x 5 Basic White piece you will want to position the following dies, first the Ornate Frame die, then you will be cutting out 2 of the large detailed flowers and 2 of the medium detailed flowers from the Perennial Petals dies.

On the Ornate Frame die cut, using Black Memento ink stamp the sentiment positioning it towards the right side then you will want to cut off the left edge so that it will fit under the flowers on the card front.

Now your ready to build the flowers on the card front.  Place the Ornate frame first as shown.  Adhere the Detailed flower dies to the stamped flowers.  Then start to build them starting in the upper left corner angling down toward the right lower corner.  I did pop up One large flower and one medium flower.  I placed the leaves under the popped up flowers.

Adhere the Matte Black dots to the flowers as shown.

For the inside of the card.  I adhered a Basic Black Matte then stamped a large flower in the lower right hand corner in Pool Party Ink.  Stamp the sentiment in Black memento in on the center as shown.  Don't you just love that big "happy".  Adhere to the matte.

What a fun card!  I hope you try this one out and don't forget to leave me a comment below and let me know what you think.  Below you will find a list of supplies and cuts for the card.

Thanks again for popping in and I hope you are enjoying my cards!

Kangaroo & Company "Birthday"

Welcome to my blog!  I hope I can inspire you in some way to create some fun cards for the kids in your life!  I don't know about you but I have several kids in my life that I love to create and design special cards for.  The Kangaroo & Company Bundle which includes the Kangaroo & Company Stamp Set and the Kangaroo Dies, is perfect for creating fun cards that they will love!  I did bring in the Happy Thoughts stamp set as well for the sentiment on the inside.

This set is also great for baby shower cards, thank you cards and just note to let someone know you are thinking of them.

For this card I used one of the Sale A Bration Designer Series paper "Paper Blooms" but any Designer Series Paper would work.  I also used the Subtles Designer Series Paper.

I want to point out the small sentiment label on the card front!  This is one of the dies in the set.  It is so cute!  Also when you cut out the large Kangaroo with the dies it cuts the slit for the pocket so that you can slide some of the other images into it easily.  Such a cute set!

First I adhered the Paper Blooms DSP to the card front.  Next I tied the twine around the upper left corner of the Subtles DSP.  This can be tricky but I used glue dots on the back to hold the twine as I wrapped it so I could easily tie the bow.  Apply it to the card front flush with the left side of the Paper Blooms DSP.

Next I stamped all the images in Black Memento ink onto a Basic White piece making sure to leave enough room between each image so that I could cut them out with the Kangaroo Dies.  I also stamped the sentiment on this sheet using Night of Navy Ink.  Before I cut them out I colored in the images with Stampin Blends.  See the supply list below for a list of colors used.

Then cut them out and adhere them to the card front as shown.  I did pop up the large Kangaroo using Stampin Dimensionls.  Matte the Sentiment label with the Night of Navy piece before adding it to the card front.

Using the Night of Navy Stampin Blends color in some Basic Rhinestones then adhere to the card front as shown.

For the inside of the card I used a sentiment from the Happy Thoughts Stamp set, and stamped it as shown in Night of Navy ink.  Then using the Kangaroo & Company set I stamped the presents in the lower right hand corner and colored in with Stampin Blends.  (Note: Because Stampin Blends bleed through when blending make sure you color in before adhere this sheet to the inside of the card)

A list of supplies and the card cuts will be listed below!

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Please leave me a comment below and let me know what you think!  I love to hear from all of you!
