Happiness Abounds Paper Fun!

So glad you took the time to visit my blog today!  I love to stamp but once in awhile I come across some Designer Series Paper that all on it's own makes a beautiful card.  That was the case when I decided to use the Hues of Happines Suite by Stampin Up®.  This suite includes the Happiness Abounds Bundle (Stamp set and matching dies), Hues of Happiness Designer Series paper and some beautiful Glossy Dots embellishments. 

What makes this Designer series paper work so well is that the Die set that is part of this suite actually cuts out some of the designs on the paper.  Mind Blown!!!  So this card was created and made with the bare minimum of stamping!  Now something I do ahead of time to make putting cards together like this, is that I go ahead and cut out several of the images from the Designer Series Paper ahead of time and store them close by for when I'm ready to create.  

So here we go!  Below you will find the card cuts, instructions, supply list and link to a video that I did for this card and two others!  Enjoy!

Card Cuts - DSP = Designer Series Paper!

Card Base - Coastal Cabana - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Scored at 4 1/4

Card Stock - Gorgeous Grape - 3 x 4 

- Basic White - 4 x 5 1/4, 1 x 3 1/4

DSP - Hues of Happiness - 4 x 5 1/4, 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 plus 12 x 12 sheet with flowers and leaves that match up with dies (I cut these out ahead of time)

Instructions:

Stamping:  

Using Black Memento Ink stamp the sentiment onto the 1 x 3 1/4 Basic White piece. 

Stamp inside sentiment onto the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White piece towards the top of the sheet.

Die Cutting:

Using the Happiness Abounds Dies and the long border die with notches cut along the left edge of the 3 x 4 Gorgeous Grape Piece. (Note: You will want to make sure that the cut edge in placed along the outside edge.)

If you have not already done so cut out flowers and leaves from one of the DSP 12 x 12 sheets. (keep all extra pieces in a container for use later)

Assemble:

Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 DSP piece to the card front.

Adhere the 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 DSP piece to the Gorgeous Grape Card Stock with die cut edge.

Wrap ribbon around bottom edge of both of these pieces then adhere to the card front at an angle as shown. Tie a bow and add to right side of ribbon.

Using Liquid glue adhere two of the die cut leaves one towards the top right and one towards the bottom left of the DSP as shown.

Then Using Dimensionals add one of the large flowers that you die cut out. overlapping both leaves as shown.

Using Paper Snips fussy cut around the sentiment that you stamped then with liquid glue add to flower on card front as shown.

Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White piece to inside of card.  Then adhere one of the small flowers you die cut earlier to the bottom right hand corner.

See how easy it is to put together a card made primarily with Designer Series Paper with coordinating Dies.  Super Fun and they always look like you put so much effort into making them!
