Tulip Fields "A little countryside"

As most of you know I LOVE Tulips!  One of the things on my bucket list is to someday visit Holland so I can see all the beautiful Tulips!

So I wanted to create a card that made me imagine what it would be like to ride a bike in Holland around the Tulip Fields!

I saw this layout from another demonstrator and thought I had written her name down but can not find it now.  I did what we call "casing" and took the original design and changed it up a bit. I did teach this card in one of my in person card classes and it was a huge hit!

Below you will find the card cuts, instructions and supply list!

Card cuts- DSP = Designer Series Paper

Card Base- Evening Evergreen: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Card Stock- Basic White: (2) 4 x 5 1/4; 3/4 x 3; 2 x 2 1/4

-Soft Suede: 1/2 x 5 1/2; 1 3/4 x 2 1/4

-Evening Evergreen: 1 x 3 1/4

DSP - Flowering Fields - 1 3/4 x 5 1/4

Instructions:

1. Apply Adhesive sheets to the back of the Soft Suede pieces.

2. On the 2 x 2 1/2 Basic White piece stamp the windmill in Soft Suede ink.

3. Using the Windmill Fields Dies cut the Following:

* Fences from the 1/2 x 5 1/2 Soft Sued piece.

* Bicycle from the 1 3/4 x 2 1/4 Soft Suede piece. Set both aside.

* Windmill that you stamped in step 2.

4. Using the Stamparatus (or if you don't have one) line up the stamp image with the tulips on both ends about 1 3/4" from top edge (of one of the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White pieces) and centering then stamp in So Saffron Ink.

* Remove from the stamparatus then using the other tulip row image stamp the Calypso Coral image in the center making sure tip touches the previous stamped image (Note: mine does not go all the way up but when I redid the card I liked it better when the tips were touching.)

*Then stamp the Highland Heather images right next to the So Saffron image and last the Pool Party between the Highland Heather and Calypso Coral rows.

5. On the DSP stamp the tree and two small bushes (one on each side) in Evening Evergreen along the bottom edge. (Note: keep the large tree either to the left or right of center.

*Adhere this to the Basic White piece you just stamped keeping bottom edge of this piece flush with the stamped So Saffron tulip rows.

6. Adhere both to the card front.

7. Adhere the fence overlapping the DSP and Basic White stamped piece to cover any white edge showing.  Leave a gap in the middle.  (Note: I did the left side then I did the right side.)

8. Using Stampin Dimensionals adhere the windmill to the card front in the gap you left in the fence.

9. Adhere the bicycle to the bottom right corner flush with the bottom of the card base.

10. Stamp the sentiment onto the 3/4 x 3 Basic White piece keeping it towards the left side.

* Cut a banner in the end.

11. Adhere to the 1 x 3 1/4 Evening Evergreen flush with the left side, then cut a banner in the end of this piece as well.

12. Adhere both to the card front about 3/4" from bottom edge and flush with the left side.

13. Adhere the butterflies as desired.

14. On the other Basic White piece stamp the sentiment using the Special Moments Set.

15. Using the Tulip Fields Set stamp the border image along the bottom edge in Evening Evergreen.  Adhere to the inside of the card.
