Julie's Creative Stamping: Cup of Tea Layers and Layers

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have you ever worked with Layers on cards? They can really make a card special! For this card I am using products from the Tea Boutique Suite by Stampin Up®

As you can see by adding some layers and turning them just a bit it can add dimension and interest to any card! Below you will find the card cuts, instructions, supply list and a link to a video with this card and one other from the same suite.

Card Cuts: DSP= Designer Series Paper

Card Base - Thick Basic White= 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Card Stock - Garden Green= 4 x 5 1/4; 3 1/8 x 4 1/2; 3 x 3; 2 x 2; 1 1/4 x 1 1/4

Basic White = 2 3/4 x 2 3/4; 3 3/4 x 5; 2 1/2 x 2 1/2; 2 x 2

Parakeet Party = 3 1/8 x 4 1/2

DSP - Tea Boutique = 3 7/8 x 5 1/8; (2 different patterns) 3 x 4 3/8; 1/2 x 3 3/4

Instructions:

Stamping:

1. Using Parakeet Party ink, stamp the striped cut onto the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 Basic White piece. Set Aside

2. Using Garden Green ink, stamp the sentiment onto the 2 x 2 Basic White piece.

3. Using Black Memento ink, stamp the small tag out line and the word "sweet" onto the 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 Garden Green piece. Set aside.

Die Cutting:

4. Using the Stylish Shapes Dies cut out a stitched circle from both the 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 Basic White piece and the 3 x 3 Garden Green piece.

5. Using the Tea Cup Dies cut out the cup you stamped in step 1 and the tag you stamped in step 3.

Assemble:

6. Adhere the 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 DSP to the 4 x 5 1/4 Garden Green piece.

7. Adhere one of the 3 x 4 3/8 DSP pieces to the 3 1/8 x 4 1/2 Garden Green piece.

8. Adhere the other 3 x 4 3/8 DSP pieces to the 3 1/8 x 4 1/2 Parakeet Party piece.

9. Now adhere piece from step 7 to the pieces from step 6 at and angle as shown.

10. Next adhere the piece from step 8 onto the piece from step 7 at the opposite angle as shown.

11. Wrap twine around the top of all these pieces as shown.

12. Adhere them all to the card front.

13. Adhere the Garden Green stitched circle to card front as shown.

14. Adhere the Basic White Stitched circle to the Garden Green stitched circle on the card front.

15. Using either a small hole punch or a push pin make a hole in the top of the tea tag. Then thread twine through the hole. Next using a Mini clue dot adhere the twine to the back of the cup.

16. Using Dimensionals adhere the cup to the Stitched White circle as shown.

17. Fussy cut around the sentiment. Adhere it to the 2 x 2 Garden Green piece then fussy cut again to form a small green edge around the sentiment.

18. Using Dimensionals adhere sentiment to card front as shown.

19. For inside of card:

A. Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 Garden Green piece to inside of card.

B. Adhere the 1/2 x 3 3/4 DSP strip to bottom of the Basic White piece.

C. Adhere both to the inside of the card as shown.
