One of the things I love to do is mix and match bundles, stamp sets and techniques. I find if I don't do this I often get stuck only creating with one bundle at a time. Stampin Up® designs all there stamp sets and bundles so that they can interact with each other very well. Here's a perfect example of adding different bundles, stamp sets, embellishments to create a great card! Hope you like it!
Project Recipe:
Cut Instructions:
- Card Base - Basic Black 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Layer 1 – Whisper White - 4 ¼ x 5 1/2
Layer 2 – Vellum and Garden Green scraps
Layer 3 – Gold Foil (132622) - 1 ½ x 4
Layer 4 – Whisper White 3 ½ x 3 ½
Layer 5 – Basic Black - 3 ½ x 3 ½
Layer 6 – Whisper White – 1 x 3 ½
Layer 7 – Whisper White – 1 x 5 ½
Layer 8 – Whisper White – 4 x 5 ¼ - Layer 1 - Using the Many Medallions large die, cut out the image.
- Then using (3) sponge brayers (one for each color) and Soft Sea Foam, Mint Macaron and Garden Green inks. Roll onto die cut image.
- Start with Soft Sea foam on the top and roll covering the top 2 sections. Then roll on the Mint Macaron slightly overlapping the Soft Sea Foam. Last roll on the Garden Green slightly overlapping the Mint Macaron. This will give you an ombre effect!
- Adhere to card front!
- Adhere Gold Hoop and Forever Greenery Trim to the card front in the upper right hand corner of Layer 1 as shown. (Note: You will need to use Liquid glue for the hoop.)
- Layer 2 - Using the Sunflower Dies cut out several leaves from the Garden green and Vellum pieces. Set aside.
- Layer 3 – Using the Sunflower Dies cut out three of the detailed leaves from the Gold Foil.
- Layer 4 - Stamp the large Sunflower using Daffodil Delight ink then cut out with the Sunflower dies.
- Using Layer 4 as a guide (do not adhere layer 4 yet) adhere the vellum and garden green leaves so that they will cover the bottom of the Gold hoop and show from behind the sunflower. I found Mini glue dots to work the best for this. (Note: I did cut some of the leaves in half)
- Adhere the Gold Foil leaves to the bottom of the card front as shown using Layer 4 as a guide.
- Adhere Layer 4 to the card front using Stampin Dimensionals. Note: It should cover all the stems since you used it as guide when adding them.
- Layer 5 – Using the Sunflower Detail die cut out a detailed outline of the sunflower from Basic Black.
- Adhere to the stamped Sunflower image on card front making sure to only add adhesive to the center of the die cut. This will allow you to fold up some of the leaves for added dimension!
- Layer 6 – Stamp the sentiment in Black Memento Ink then fussy cut out and adhere to the center of the sunflower on card front.
- Layer 7 – Using the Many Medallions single die cut out from strip. Then using the Brayers do the ombre technique on this piece. Adhere to Layer 8.
- Layer 8 – Stamp sentiment from Peaceful Moments stamp set in Black Memento ink then adhere to the inside of the card.
