Celebrate Sunflowers - Get Well Card!

I'm so happy that you took the time to visit my blog today.  This card was so much fun to create! I used a sketch for the layout idea. Sketches can always be a lot of help when designing a card. I used the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle, Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper, Tasteful Labels Dies, Misty Moonlight ribbon and Stampin Blends. Enjoy!

Project Recipe:

1. Cut Instructions: DSP = Designer Series Paper
   Card Base - Thick Whisper White - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
   
   Layer 1 – Flowers for Every Season DSP – 2 x 5 ½
   Layer 2 – Night of Navy - 2 3/4 x 4 1/4
   Layer 3 – Whisper White - 4 x 5 ¼
   Layer 4 – Whisper White – 2 x 2
   Layer 5 – Flowers for Every Season DSP - ½ x 5 ½
2. Layer 1 : Tie a knot into the ribbon then cut so that tie will be closer on the right side.
3. Attach it to Layer 1 (note: do not put any adhesive in the middle of the ribbon).
4. Adhere to the card front along the bottom edge keeping bottom and side edges flush.
5. Layer 2: Adhere to the card front layering underneath the ribbon onto the first layer about ½” from top of card front and centering.
6. Layer 3: Using the Black Memento ink, stamp five of the small sunflowers onto sheet leaving enough space between them to be cut out.
7. Then color in with Stampin Blends and cut out with Sunflower dies.
8. Adhere to card front using Liquid Glue for the top and center flowers as they will be adhered flat.
9. Pop us the last two flowers with stampin dimensionals and place as shown on card front
10. Note: Make sure to leave enough space in the middle for your sentiment.
11. Layer 4: Stamp sentiment onto sheet then cut out with the Tasteful Texture Dies.
12. Adhere to the card front onto layer 2 in the center of the flowers.
13. Layer 5: Adhere to the bottom of the inside of the card keeping bottom and side edges flush.
14. Stamp sentiment in the inside of the card as shown.

Celebrate Sunflowers with the Flowers For Every Season Suite - Thank you card!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!  I used the Celebrate Sunflower bundle in the making of this card. This is one of the stamp sets in the Flowers for Every Season Suite! What a suite. When you combine the Celebrate Sunflower Stamp set with the products in the suite the card designs become unending!  

1. Cut Instructions: DSP - Designer Series Paper
   Card Base: Thick Whisper White - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
   Layer 1 – Forever Greenery DSP (152492) – 2 x 2 ½
   Layer 2 – Forever Greenery DSP (152492) – 2 ½ x 4
   Layer 3 - Whisper White – 3 ½ x 3 ½
   Layer 4 – Mint Macaron & Soft Sea Foam scraps                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Layer 5 - Pretty Peacock – 1 x 5 ½
   Layer 6 - Whisper White – 1 x 3 ¼                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Layer 7 - Pretty Peacock – 4 1/8 x 5 3/8                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Layer 8 – Whisper White – 4 x 5 ¼
2. Layer 1 - Adhere to the card front about ¼ from left side and ¾ from top.
3. Layer 2 – Adhere to the card front about ¼ from right side you should either overlap                                                                                                                                                                  or butt up to layer 1.
4. Layer 3 – Stamp large sunflower in Pretty Peacock ink, cut out with Sunflower Dies                                                                                                                                                              then adhere to card front as shown.
5. Layer 4 – Using the Sunflower dies cut out one of the 2 stems leave in Mint Macaron                                                                                                                                                              and one in Soft Sea foam then adhere to the card front as shown.
6. Layer 5 – Adhere to card front overlapping all other layers making sure the Sunflower                                                                                                                                                            and leaves are partially covered.
7. Layer 6 – Stamp sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink then cut out with the Stitched                                                                                                                                                           Rectangle Dies and adhere to Layer 5 on the left side.
8. Tie 2 ribbons then adhere to layer 5 with mini glue dots on the right side of the                                                                                                                                                              sentiment label.
9. Adhere the Enamel dot to sentiment label as shown.
10. Layer 7 – Adhere to the inside of the card.
11. Layer 8 – Stamp 2 of the small sunflowers in the lower right corner in Pretty Peacock ink                                                                                                                                                      then adhere to Layer 7.

Ombre Technique Series - Card 4 - Tags in Bloom/Ornate Style

Here's the last card in my Ombre Technique Series. This time I used foiled paper instead of embossing powder but the outcome is just as stunning! The Ornate Garden Designer Series paper worked great for this card! I'm in love with this technique it creates beautiful cards so quickly!

Project Recipe:

1. Cut instructions: DSP = Designer Series Paper
   Card Base: Daffodil Delight - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
   Layer 1 - Basic Black - 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
   Layer 2 - Ornate Garden DSP - 4 x 5 1/4
   Layer 3 - Basic Black - 2 1/2 x 2 1/2
   Layer 4 - Whisper White - 2 1/2 x 2 1/2
   Layer 5 - Whisper White - 4 x 5 1/4
2. Layer 1 - set aside until you have finished with Layer 2.
3. Layer 2 - Using the sponge brayers' and the following ink: Gorgeous Grape,                                                                                                                                                                        Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight.
4. Add the ink in the following manner. Top of sheet roll on Gorgeous Grape then                                                                                                                                                                    bring in the Melon Mambo and last the Daffodil Delight.
5. Make sure to overlap as you move down the sheet. Then wipe lightly wipe off                                                                                                                                                                        with a lint free clothe.
6. Adhere Layer 2 to Layer 1 then wrap a piece of Black Satin Ribbon around both.                                                                                                                                                                Then adhere to the card front.
7. Layer 3 Using the layering circle dies cut out a scalloped circle and place on card                                                                                                                                                                  front on the left under the ribbon.
8. Layer 4 - Stamp the sentiment from the Tags in Bloom stamp set in Melon Mambo ink.
9. Cut out with next size down layering circle straight edge die.
10. Using Stampin Dimensionals add to Layer 3. Straddling the ribbon.
11. Layer 4 - Using the following Stamp N Write markers color the small flower stamp image                                                                                                                                                     from the Ornate Style set. Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight.
12. Stamp image in bottom right corner of sheet. Then stamp sentiment in Melon Mambo on                                                                                                                                                    center of sheet.
13. Adhere to the inside of the card.

Ombre Technique Series - Card 3 - A Little Lace

One of my favorite stamp set is "A Little Lace" by Stampin Up®. The images are so dainty and the cards come out beautiful. So of course I had to use this set in my ombre technique series. This time I used the purples and I'm in love. Again in the video I used White Craft foam that I bought at a local craft store but since then Stampin Up® has developed Foam Adhesive sheets which would be a lot easier to use!

Project Recipe:

1. Cut Instructions:
   Card Base: Gorgeous Grape- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
   Layer 1 - Whisper White - 4 x 5 1/4
   Layer 2 - Whisper White - 1/2 x 3 1/4
   Layer 3 - White Craft Foam & Whisper White - 1 x 5
   Layer 4 - Whisper White - 4 x 5 1/4
2. Layer 1 - Stamp largest image several times in Versa mark ink on to sheet                                                                                                                                                                                  stamping some off the sheet.
3. Cover with White Embossing Powder. Then Heat with Heat tool!
4. Using Sponge Brayers and Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Purple Posy                                                                                                                                                                    inks add as follows:
5. Start with Gorgeous Grape at the top then add the Highland Heather and last the                                                                                                                                                                        Purple Posey.
6. You will need to overlap as you move down the page. Last using a lint free cloth wipe                                                                                                                                                                 off any ink that is on the stamped image
7. Layer 2 - Using the versa mark ink stamp sentiment onto strip. Cover with White                                                                                                                                                              embossing powder then heat with heat tool.
8. Using the Gorgeous Grape ink and a sponge brayer add ink to strip.
9. Using stampin dimensionals add to bottom of Layer 1 centering on card front.
10. Layer 3 - Add a 1 x 5 adhesive sheet to the same size White Craft foam then                                                                                                                                                                          adhere to Whisper White strip.
11. Cut out sentiment using the Well Written Dies. Then using a sponge brayer and                                                                                                                                                          Gorgeous Grape ink add ink to bottom half of sentiment.
12. Layer 4 - Stamp border image onto bottom edge of sheet in Gorgeous Grape ink.
13. Stamp sentiment onto center of sheet then adhere to the inside of the card.
