Artfully Layered See Through

So glad you have taken time out of your day to visit my blog!  I am working on getting as many cards as I can from the Jan-June Mini Catalog before the products retire!  Today I am working with the Artfully Composed Suite.  I wanted to work with the designed vellum that is part of this suite.  Hope you like it!

I purposely chose a monochrome design so that it would be a subtle card!  Greens are my favorite so Soft Succulent was what I went with, now this card would be stunning in purples or pink as well!  I also brought in the Stylish Shapes Dies for the label sentiment on the front.

The inside is pretty straight forward with the stamping.  Below you will find card cuts, instructions and supply list!

Card Cuts- DSP = Designer Series Paper

Card Base - Soft Succulent= 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2

Card Stock - Soft Succulent 2 1/2 x 2 1/2

- Basic White = 2 x 2; (2) 4 x 5 1/4

Specialty Paper - Layering Designs Vellum - 4 x 5 1/4

Instructions:

Stamping:

1. Using Soft Succulent ink stamp the Following:

A. Large fern like leaf several times onto the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White piece stamping off the page as shown.

          B. Sentiment onto the 2 x 2 Basic White piece.

C. On the other 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White piece stamp the leaf in the bottom right hand corner and the sentiment in the middle as shown.

Die Cutting:

2.  Using the Stylish Shapes Dies cut the following:

A.  Cut out the 2 x 2 Basic White piece that you stamped on.

B.  Cut out the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 Soft Succulent piece with the circle die that is one step bigger than the one you just used.

Assemble:

3.  Using Mini Glue dots strategically place them on the back of the vellum so that they will be hidden then adhere the Vellum to the stamped Basic White piece.

4.  Wrap with ribbon.

5.  Adhere them both to the card front.

6.  Adhere the Basic White Stitched Circle to the the Soft Succulent Stitched Circle.  Then using dimensionals to the card front overlapping the ribbon.

7.  Apply Faux sea glass shapes to card front as desired.

8.  Adhere the other 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White piece to the inside of the card.

All Done!  Quick and Easy Card!

Nuts & Bolts -Not just for Valentines!

Welcome to my blog!  If you missed yesterday's blog then you missed me saying that I am posting several cards I designed with products from the 2022 Jan-June Mini catalog by Stampin Up® that will be retiring at the end of this month.  I am super sad to see this one go as it is an adorable set.

Now this set does seem to be geared towards valentines but you can give a card like this anytime to someone who you are "Nuts About".  Plus it will bring a smile to anyone who opens that envelope!

I brought in some old favorites to help design this card the Layering Circle Dies.  As far as I am concerned these dies are a staple that everyone should have in their card making arsenal!

Below you will find the card cuts, instructions, supply list and a video link.

Remember this set will only be available for a few more weeks so if you like it don't delay in ordering!

Card Cuts: DSP = Designer Series Paper

Card Base - Granny Apple Green = 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Card Stock- So Saffron = 2 1/2  x 2 1/2

- Petal Pink = 2 1/2 x 2 1/2

- Highland Heather = 3 1/2 x 3 1/2

- Basic White = (1) 3 1/2 x 3 1/2, (2) 2 1/2 x 2 1/2, 4 x 5 1/4

DSP - Sweet Talk = 4 x 5 1/4

Instructions:

Stamping/Coloring:

1.  Using Black Memento ink stamp the following

A. One robot onto each of the 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 Basic White pieces. Then color in with Stampin Blends (I used: Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, So Saffron and Petal Pink)

2.  Using Granny Apple Green ink stamp the sentiment onto the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White piece along with some hearts in the lower right hand corner.

Die Cutting:

3.  Using the Layering Circle Dies cut the following:

A.  Scalloped Circles from the Basic White pieces that you just stamped and colored the robots on.

B. Scalloped Circles that are just a bit larger than the Basic White pieces from the So Saffron, Petal Pink and Highland Heather squares.

Assemble:

4.  Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 DSP piece to the card front.

5.  Adhere the Basic White scalloped circles with robots onto the matching Scallop circles in So Saffron, Petal Pink and Highland Heather.

6.  Then adhere the largest scalloped circle (Highland Heather) flat onto the card front as shown.

7.  Then adhere the other two scalloped circles using dimensionals as shown.

8. Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White piece to the inside of the card.

All Done!  Hope you have enjoyed this card.  I would love to hear from you so please consider leaving me a comment below!

Dahlia Days "ThankYou"

So glad you have taken the time to pop in and see what I've been up to in my card designs.  I'm trying really hard to get a bunch of cards posted that I made using products from the 2022 Jan - June Mini Catalog before it's to late to purchase the products that will be retiring.

For this card I am using the Dahlia Days bundle and it's a beautiful bundle.  It has some great dies that make putting cards together quick and easy!  I also did a video showing how I put this card together which I will add the link for that below the supply list!  Hope you like it!

Instructions:

Stamping:

1. On the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Very Vanilla piece - Using Daffodil Delight and Mossy Meadow Stamp N Write Markers color in the sentiment label with flowers as follows: (Note: the ink will dry as you color all you need to do in breath onto the stamp just before you stamp it and it will re-wet the ink.)

A. Color the leaves and outline in Mossy Meadow.

B.  Color the flowers in Daffodil Delight.

Then breath on stamp and stamp it in the lower right hand corner leaving enough room around it to cut out with the dies.  DO NOT CUT OUT YET!

2. Using Daffodil Delight ink stamp the following: (Note: stamp carefully as you have a lot of images that need to fit on this piece)

A. One large Dahlia

B. 4 small flowers

Color with clear wink of stella.

3. Using Mossy Meadow ink stamp the following leaf images: (Note: I stamped of each time on the second one to get a lighter shade than the first image)

A.  2 of the fern like leaves.

B.  2 of the flower like leaves.

C.  2 of the 3 leaf images.

4.  Using Daffodil Delight ink stamp the large Dahlia in the upper right hand corner of the 4 x 5 1/4 Very Vanilla piece.

Assemble:

7.  Adhere the Neutrals DSP to the card front.

8. Remove the backing from the adhesive strip from the Detailed Dahlia Die cut then adhere it to the card front as shown.

9. Using Dimensionals in the center of the large Dahlia adhere to the upper left corner as shown.  Then using liquid glue slide the leave underneath the Dahlia as shown.

10.  Adhere the other flowers and leaves as shown.

11. Adhere the sentiment label in the lower right corner as shown.

12.  Apply Pearl Basic Jewels as shown.

 13.  Adhere the DSP strip to the bottom of the 4 x 5 1/4 Very Vanilla piece.

You will notice I did not stamp a sentiment on the inside.  I rarely do that as I usually like to write a personal note of thanks but you are welcome to add any sentiment you would like.
