Prized Peony Bundle - Die Cut Flower!

At first glance the dies can be a little intimidating but once you use them they will amaze you! So easy to fit together to form this beautiful flower!  I used the entire Peony Garden Suite to design and make this card.  

Stampin Up® has out done themselves with the design for this flower.  The color combo's blend so well together.  Hope it give you some inspiration to create a bunch of cards! 




Project Recipe:

  1. Cut Instructions: DSP = Designer Series Paper
    Card Base - Thick Whisper White - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
    Layer 1- Peony Garden DSP - 2 1/2 x 5 1/2
    Layer 2 - Basic Gray - 2 x 4 1/4
    Layer 3 - Gray Granite - 3 x 4
    Layer 4 - Square Vellum Doily
    Layer 5 - Old Olive - 2 x 3
    Layer 6 - Pear Pizzaz - 2 x 2
    Layer 7 - Petal Pink - 4 x 5 1/4
    Layer 8 - Basic Gray - 3/4 x 1
    Layer 9 - Basic Gray - 3/4 x 2 1/2
    Layer 10 - Peony Garden DSP - 1/2 x 5 1/2
  2. Layer 1 - Adhere to card front about 1/4" from right edge.
  3. Layer 2 - Using Whisper White craft ink stamp the triangle image several times creating a pattern onto the sheet.
  4. Adhere to the card front about 2" from top edge.
  5. Layer 3 - Run through the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder.
  6. Adhere to card front about 3/4" from top edge and 1/2" from left side.
  7. Layer 4 - Using mini glue dots adhere to Layer 3 keeping the glue dots in the center that will be covered.
  8. Layer 5 - Cut out all three sizes of leaves with the Peony Dies. 
  9. Layer 6 - Cut out all three sizes of leaf details with the Peony Dies. Then attach to Layer 5 leaves.
  10. Adhere leaves onto Layer 4 as desired just make sure the flower will cover the inside stems.
  11. Layer 7 - Cut out all four flower pieces.
  12. Using a sponge dauber highlight the petals with Blushing Bride ink.
  13. Build flower by starting with largest piece to smallest piece. Each one will slide into the previous one and line up on the back side. (See Video link below)
  14. Layer 8 - cut out the flower center then slip into the center of the flower.
  15. Using Stampin Dimensionals adhere the Flower to the card front placing in center of Layer's 3 & 4 and layering over leaves.
  16. Layer 9 - Stamp sentiment in Whisper White Craft ink. (If you have a stamparatus I would use it so you can get a good shade of white on the sentiment)
  17. Adhere to the card front in the lower left of Layer 3 & 4 about 1/4" from bottom edge of Layer 3 and flush on the left side.
  18. Adhere three of the white Elegant Faceted Gems as shown.
  19. Layer 10 - Adhere to the inside of card along the right edge top to bottom.
  20. Stamp sentiment in Basic Gray ink in the center.

Lovely You - Embossing Technique (Love/Family Card)

The Lovely You bundle combined with the 2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper (DSP) really lends itself to using embossing powder to help the stamps pop!  The sayings in this set our perfect to remind our family how much they mean to us!  Especially those that are far from us and may need a card to let them know they are loved and in your thoughts.  This is one of my favorite cards!

Project Recipe:

  1. Cut Instructions:
    Card Base - Thick Whisper White - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
    Layer 1 - Bumblebee - 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
    Layer 2 - 2020-2022 In Color DSP (Misty Moonlight wood grain) - 4 x 5 1/4
    Layer 3 - Whisper White - 5/8 x 5 1/2
    Layer 4 - 2020-2022 In Color DSP (Bumblebee script) - 1/2 x 5 1/2
    Layer 5 - Misty Moonlight - 1 x 4
    Layer 6 - 2020-2022 In Color DSP (Misty Moonlight wood grain) - 1/2 x 5 1/2






Layer 1 - Adhere to the card front.



















Layer 2 - In the lower right hand corner run embossing buddy over area.














Then stamp the large flower with stem and 2 small flower with stems in Versa Mark ink in the lower right corner. 















Then cover with white embossing powder.

















Pour off excess powder then heat up with Heat Tool.

















Adhere to card front.

















Layer 3 - Adhere to card front about 1" down from top edge of DSP.














Layer 4 - Adhere to Layer 3.



















Layer 5 - Punch out both label ends.
















Stamp sentiment in Versa Mark ink onto center of layer 5.














Cover with White Embossing powder.














Heat up with heat tool.
















Add Stampin Dimensionals to back side of label.















Adhere to Layer's 3 & 4.




















Add 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots to Label as shown.












Layer 6 - Adhere to the inside of the card along the bottom edge.




Stamp sentiment in Misty Moonlight along with flower at the end of sentiment as shown.
