What's Cookin' Christmas Card

Here's a fun card using the What's Cookin' bundle and creating a Christmas Card.  I got the idea for this card from Susan Timchack in a card swap!  Loved the idea so I tweaked it a bit and changed up the colors to create this look!

For the card base I used Soft Succulent (5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4) .  Then a matte of Cherry Cobbler - 4 x 5 1/4  ( I built the card front onto this matte before adding it to the cardbase).  I added some Designer Series Paper from the Sweet Stockings Paper (2 x 3 3/4) and the In Color 2021-2023 Paper (3 x 3 3/4).  Wrap them all with the Ribbon.  Then I stamped and die cut the images from the What's Cookin set.  (The spatula in the bowl was cut from Basic White then the handle was colored with Cherry Cobbler Stampin Blend).  The cookie was cut from Kraft Paper and Basic White using the Gingerbread Dies. Once I placed all the objects on the front I tied a bow and added it to the left side as shown. I added this to the card front then I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White and used the Pick a Banner punch on the right side then used dimensionals to add it to the front.  I finished off the front of the card by adding a few of the Opal Rounds.

For the inside I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler and the rolling pins in Crumb cake!

What a fun card!  As I was designing this card it brought back so many precious memories of making Christmas cookies with my kids and now my Grandchildren.  Thank you again to Susan Timchack for this design idea and all the memories that came with it!

Pretty Pumpkin Frameless Shaker Card!

Welcome to my blog!  I have been away for a few weeks and am so glad to be back blogging again!

This was such a fun card to create.  I got the idea of the Frameless shaker card from Patty Bennett and thought I would do a Fall version!

For this card I used the Pretty Pumpkin Bundle and the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper.

This card is put together upside down from what we are use to doing.  The opening is at the top.

The front is one of Stampin Up's ® clear medium envelopes.  Cut a piece of window sheet and slide it inside then fill it with the Sequins for Everything. Then you place a piece of scotch tape across the opening at the top just barely overlapping. Line up the clear envelope with the card front (Remember the opening will be at the top.  Then once it's all lined up fold the top over and seal it on the backside of the card base.  Turn to the backside and flip the envelope away from the top edge and apply some tear and tape to help hold it at the top.  Flip it back to the front and burnish the top edge.  Apply tear and tape along all the edges on the inside of the card base and glue together with the clear envelope on the outside.

For the inside: Add the Designer Series Paper to the card base.  I cut out a piece of Basic white with the Stitched So Sweetly dies and centered it onto the Designer Series Paper.

For the front: I cut out a sentiment label with the Stitched So Sweetly dies and embossed the sentiment with White Embossing powder.  I stamped the trio pumpkins from the stamp set onto a piece of scrap Basic White then colored in with Stampin Blends.  Then I cut out the detailed Pumpkin Die in Cajun Craze and adhered it to a piece of Basic White then fussy cut around the edges. Then I adhere all the piece to the front of the Clear Envelope as shown.

This is a fun card to make and I can imagine if you look hard enough at your stamp stash you can come up with several versions of this card!
Hope you enjoy this card!  Please leave me a comment below and let me know what you think!

Keep going until you get back to me!  It's that easy!

Here's my card for this month's challenge!  I wanted to design a card with more subtle tones so I used Crumb Cake and Misty Moonlight for my color theme!

I used the Pretty Pumpkin Bundle for the stamp set and dies!  I also added in the Timeworn 3D embossing folder to give this card some texture!

This card is all about the dies because they are what make this card so quick and easy!  You'll be surprised how quickly it all goes together!
